The high-quality beard axe that we offer here was made according to the ideas of our master blacksmith. The axe blade is hand-forged from carbon steel and mounted on a shaft made of hand-carved walnut wood.
The bearded axe was very popular as both a tool and a weapon from the 6th century until the end of the Viking Age. Compared to the sword, it was not only simpler, but also much cheaper to produce and was therefore the most important weapon of the common people in early medieval Scandinavia.

Please note that the blade is sharpened and fully functional. Therefore, this Bart axe is not suitable for show combat!
